"Inggágieddi" is the name of the outdoors area in front of the museum. It is in the Sami language and means literally "Inga`s meadow". Inggágieddi is actively used at museum events and activities, school visits, in tourism and at larger events such as Vuonnamárkanat (an annual fjord market/fair) and Finnmarksløpet (an annual sled dog race).

The outdoors area of the museum comprises a traditional coastal Sami housing environment, a cookfire, a playground and a nature reserve adapted for bird watching.
